Lets start out with
the basics and make it as simple as we can. Consider the following
questions before even thinking about investing in your site.
- What are my goals for the site? (short term vs. long term)
a.k.a. "Why should our company be on the web?"
- How will our web site support our company mission / objectives.
- How will our site benefit our customer / clients / partners?
a.k.a. "Why would our customer want us to be on the web."
- Who is my true audience? (sales reps, distributors, the ultimate
user?)
- What is my Performa for the site? How will it generate revenue
or reduce expenses. How much can I invest?
- How will I provide customer service support for my Web generated
inquiries.
- How can I get our whole organization involved and invested in
our site.
- In what ways will we drive our target audience to our site?
- How will I measure the effectiveness of our site?
- What is my competition doing?
