10 Critical Marketing Questions

Let’s start out with the basics and make it as simple as we can. Consider the following questions before even thinking about investing in your site.
  1. What are my goals for the site? (short term vs. long term)
    a.k.a. "Why should our company be on the web?"
  2. How will our web site support our company mission / objectives.
  3. How will our site benefit our customer / clients / partners?
    a.k.a. "Why would our customer want us to be on the web."
  4. Who is my true audience? (sales reps, distributors, the ultimate user?)
  5. What is my Performa for the site? How will it generate revenue or reduce expenses. How much can I invest?
  6. How will I provide customer service support for my Web generated inquiries.
  7. How can I get our whole organization involved and invested in our site.
  8. In what ways will we drive our target audience to our site?
  9. How will I measure the effectiveness of our site?
  10. What is my competition doing?
